E.I.F.S. - Exterior Insulation and Finish System
(Some people like to refer to it as "Stucco")
EIFS is a lightweight synthetic wall cladding system that includes foam insulation and thin synthetic finish coatings. EIFS can be used on a wide range of buildings, including homes, apartments, condominiums, high-rise buildings, offices, malls, shopping centers, hotels, motels, clinics, government buildings, and so on. It can also be used to create facades and soffits on shopping centers, and for decorative purposes (to look like stone, or to create signage or artwork).
EIFS can be used on new buildings and also can be installed on existing walls to upgrade the appearance and provide insulation. EIFS has a number of features that contribute to its popularity, including a modern seamless look, the ability to mimic other materials, reasonable cost, and high energy efficiency. EIFS looks like traditional stucco or concrete, and is very common through North America.
Forsey Constructions’ staff and many of its employees are EIFSmart certified Mechanics. This is specialized training by the AWCI (Association of the Wall & Ceiling Institute) a national organization dedicated to quality installations.
Since 1976, Forsey Construction has installed STO brand EIFS. STO, an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company, is the leading manufacturer of EIFS products and distributes worldwide.
Our close relationship with STO has allowed us to stay up to date on the latest products. For example, Lotusan, one of the newest products, can be applied to the existing E.I.F.S. system to bring new life into the finish and / or change the colors on your building. This new product is designed to bond directly to the old system and extend the life of the old system. The product has a silicone base and therefore when it does show dirt brought on by dust it will clean itself during the next rain.
