Project Description:
We worked closely with our clients onsite staff and interior decorator to create a more contemporary and comfortable facility. The design required an extensive remodel of more than 6000 sq. ft. of lobby, office and reception space as well as a complete face lift to the exterior of the building. The project included enlarging the bath rooms to more than double the fixture count and making them ADA complaint, constructing a new reception area and modern conference room as well as a new café area. The exterior of the building was transformed from an old metal warehouse building into a modern office building by installing EIFS to more than 95% of the structure.

This space "build-out" also required special attention to the coordination of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.

    This was a slightly more difficult project in the fact that all work had to be done at night after the mall closed and all construction equipment had to be removed every morning before the mall opened. Nothing could be left on the floor where customers might get hurt. There was also extensive coordination needed between HVAC, plumbing and fire protection contractors.

    This was a very unique and painstaking project. There were 42 different colors of paint utilized. The gold leaf was done by another specialty contractor. What a jewel to the city of South Bend this project turned out to be.
